Game Won: Bhatts get Love Games cleared at the Tribunal
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Sanskari Pahlaj Nihalani, have you tuned in?
Mahesh Bhatt--- who had been told by the CBFC Examining Committee to prune the kisses to a few seconds, mute out four-letter words and not show the drug addict hero consuming drugs in his upcoming flick Love Games--- is celebrating.
SpotboyE has it that the Tribunal has passed the film with only one cuss word not being allowed (ch****a). Bhatts had taken the movie straight to Tribunal after the Examining Committee came out with a long list of 'deletions'.
Yesterday, Mukesh Bhatt was in Delhi for the Tribunal verdict.
Mukesh had to argue a bit with the Tribunal officials to win the battle though. "But that's understandable. Nothing comes on silver platter. Mukesh told them two things. One, the length of a kiss does not decide if it is vulgar. Two, weren't drug consumption scenes been shown in films even in the 70s- Hare Rama Hare Krishna for one? What's important is that the Bhatts have won and Love Games will be screened almost in full."
Has the Shyam Benegal wave started flowing?
